Renewed commuter multi-tickets and using them

You can buy easy-to-use commuter multi-tickets conveniently from our beta.vr.fi online shop, or by using the VR Commuter application. Before starting your train trip, you must use your multi-ticket in the online shop or mobile application for the train service of your choice.

Popular 10-journey commuter multi-tickets are always inexpensive and they are valid on all commuter trains on the route marked on your ticket. You can travel easily in either route direction. Commuter multi-tickets are easy to use and are transferable, so several people can use the tickets either together or separately.

Read the easy instructions below on how to buy and use commuter multi-tickets on beta.vr.fi and in the VR Commuter application.

Purchasing commuter multi-tickets on beta.vr.fi

1. Log in

Remember to log in using your Veturi ID before buying your commuter multi-tickets; this makes ticket purchases quicker and stores your tickets.

Select “Buy commuter multi-ticket”.

2. Fill in the information

Information to be filled in for commuter multi-tickets are place of departure, destination and passenger type.

Commuter multi-tickets are valid for two months from purchase.

3. Check the information and pay

Check that the information you filled in is correct.

Remember to log in with your Veturi ID at this stage at the latest, so that your ticket will remain safely stored.

After checking the information, pay your commuter multi-ticket.

4. Your ticket has been sent

Your commuter multi-ticket will be emailed to your email address, and you can use it whenever you want.

When logged in with your Veturi ID, you find your multi-ticket under My information and in the VR Commuter application's ticket folder.

Remember to use your commuter multi-ticket before starting your train trip.

Using commuter multi-tickets on beta.vr.fi

1. Select “Use commuter multi-ticket”

When logged in with your Veturi ID, the menu will show your purchased commuter multi-tickets and the number of trips remaining in the commuter multi-ticket counter.

If you are not logged in with your Veturi ID, click the “Use commuter multi-ticket” button on the message you received in your email or enter the order number of the commuter multi-ticket you received in your email and click “OK”.

2. Select your train

Select your preferred train service for which you want to use your commuter multi-ticket.

Your ticket will be valid for two hours from the time of departure of the train service you select.

3. Check information

Check that the information is correct and that “Use commuter multi-ticket” is selected.

4. Use commuter multi-ticket

Use your commuter multi-ticket by clicking ”“Use commuter multi-ticket” ” .

5. Get on the train

You will get a ticket with a 2D code that you must keep with you for the duration of your trip.

When logged in with your Veturi ID, you can find your multi-ticket under My information and in the VR Commuter application's ticket folder.

Your ticket has also been sent to your email, and you can print it if you want.

Purchasing commuter multi-tickets in the VR Commuter application

1. Log in

Log in with your Veturi ID. You can also buy commuter multi-tickets without having to log in.

Logging in with your Veturi ID is always worth your while, because ticket purchases are quicker and your tickets are stored.

2. Open the “Buy” tab

On the “Buy” tab you can select your route and continue to purchase your commuter multi-ticket.

3. Select “Multi-ticket”

In the ticket type menu, select “Multi-ticket 10 journeys”.

Remember to check that the information you have filled in for your commuter multi-ticket is correct. Information to be filled in for commuter multi-tickets are place of departure, destination and passenger type.

4. Check the information and pay your ticket

Check that the information you filled in is correct.

After checking the information, pay your commuter multi-ticket.

5. Your multi-ticket is in your ticket folder

When logged in with your Veturi ID, the application's ticket folder shows your purchased commuter multi-tickets and the multi-ticket counter shows how many tickets you have left.

Your commuter multi-ticket will be emailed to your email address, and you can use it whenever you want.

Remember to use your commuter multi-ticket before starting your train trip.

Using commuter multi-tickets in the VR Commuter application

1. Select your train

Select your preferred train service for which you want to use your commuter multi-ticket and click “Buy ticket”.

If you are logged in with your Veturi ID, you can also open the ticket folder in the application and use a commuter multi-ticket from the folder. Select your preferred train service for which you want to use your commuter multi-ticket and continue the use of the ticket as instructed.

2. Check the ticket type

Remember to check that “Single ticket” is selected under the ticket type and click “Continue”.

3. Pay your ticket

Pay your single ticket using your commuter multi-ticket by clicking “Use commuter multi-ticket”.

The application’s multi-ticket counter shows how many tickets remain unused.

If you are not logged in with your Veturi ID, click the “Use commuter multi-ticket” button on the message you received in your email or enter the order number of the commuter multi-ticket you received in your email and click “OK”.

4. Get on the train

You will get a ticket with a 2D code that you must keep with you for the duration of your train trip.

The ticket is always safely stored in the application's ticket folder, when you have logged in with your Veturi ID.

Your ticket has also been sent to your email, and you can print it if you want.
